Standing Committee Chairs

Considers the advisability of bylaw amendments, hear or review all proposed amendments and make recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding amendments to the bylaws.


Works in conjunction with the Special Events/Programs Committee/President; prepares the necessary Chapter approved contracts between Chapter and Speakers to ensure compliance with CEU requirements; keeps record of sign-in sheets, evaluations, CEU credits.  Reviews event evaluations with Board of Directors after each training.

Serves in an educational capacity to keep Chapter members informed of the CAMFT Ethical Standards for Marriage and Family Therapists; provides liaison between Chapter members and the public re our ethics and promotes compliance with such standards.

Evaluates the financial status of the Chapter, and in conjunction with the CFO, recommends to the Board of Directors changes in dues and assessments and makes other recommendations as may be necessary to provide income for the Chapter to carry out its activities.

Coordinates refreshments for events and assists in welcoming members to Chapter events.

Seeks contributions from sponsors to help build membership and offer events that respond to needs of local community and chapter members.

Works in conjunction with Chapter Secretary and with Marketing/Outreach to promote Chapter activities and welcome new members.

Vanessa Morales, LMFT
Nominating and Elections
Selects qualified nominees to the Board of Directors; prepares slate and ballot of members to be elected in a process or at a meeting prior to the annual meeting and assists in the election procedures.  Also performs such other duties and tasks described the Bylaws with regard to Elections.

Using Robert’s Rules of Order,  facilitates proper conduct at board meetings.

Seeks out speakers to provide training on topics of interest to local Chapter memberships.  Confers with Board of Directors.  Coordinates process with CEU representative.

Oversees consultation group and serves as a mentor for our pre-licensed members.

Oversees consultation group and serves as a mentor for our licensed members.

E-Newsletter & Social Media

Secretary — Michael Crile, AMFT
Prepares regular E-NEWS by collecting articles of interest from membership or other contributors; coordinates information with Website coordinator to keep members informed.

Pre-Licensed Representative

Pre-licensed Member-at-Large — Maira Flores
Serves as liaison between the Board of Directors and pre-licensed members; helps to promote membership in the Chapter.

Website Co-Administration

Past-President and Secretary
Maintains information on Chapter website and facilitates communications between Board of Directors and membership under the direction of the Chapter President.
